Evergreen Natural Pet Gives Back

DENVER – With many families still struggling financially from the effects of COVID on the economy, Evergreen Natural Pet has partnered with Colorado Pet Pantry to help those in need.

“We had product that was approaching the end of shelf life. Instead of just taking the loss, we wanted to see how we could turn this into a positive by helping others in need,” Willis Clark, Evergreen Natural Pet Co-Owner, said, “Once we had the idea, the challenge became deciding who to help.”

Evergreen Natural Pet was started in Evergreen, Colorado and continues to be the company’s number one distribution location with nearly 20 Colorado retail locations selling their product. 

“It only made sense to go back to our roots,” Matt Edwards, Evergreen Natural Pet Founder, explained. “We were connected with Colorado Pet Pantry and within days we were able to deliver over 200 bags of treats to them. They have their process dialed in to be able to take donations and maximize the benefit in the community.”

The Colorado Pet Pantry is a non-profit that partners with local food banks to help feed pets in times of financial hardship. Colorado Pet Pantry is the largest organization of its kind in the US, distributing pet food at 103 monthly pet food banks throughout Colorado, and assisting 100 animal rescues with food and supplies throughout the whole state of Colorado.

“Pet food donations and partnerships are an important part of making this possible,” Eileen Lambert, Colorado Pet Pantry Founder, said, “We are grateful for Evergreen Natural Pet’s donation as well as all of our partners and volunteers.”

Evergreen Natural Pet was founded in Evergreen, Colorado by Matt Edwards with the simple idea to provide treats that help dogs live better lives that you can feel good about feeding, both for the well-being of your dog and the well-being of the environment. It started with seeking a calming solution for Edwards’ Rottweiler who had both dog aggression issues and separation anxiety and grew from there. With a background in dog nutrition, focused on veterinary dog diets, Edwards backs every supplement with clinical trials for its effectiveness.
