Frequently Asked Questions

CBD is the non-psychoactive compound naturally found in the hemp plant. CBD supplements will not get your pet high, and they can have a multitude of benefits.

All of our products will deliver the same organic CBD benefits to your pet, however, the vehicle of transportation, whether the supplement, or tinctures, or both, is up to you!

The supplements are great place to start because they are familiar and pets love them. These can also be a great tool if you are only using CBD for your pet every once in a while, or curious to see how CBD can help your pet.

On the other hand, our oils, also known as our CBD tinctures, can be a great option for those who are more familiar with using CBD. With the oil, it is easier to administer and adjust to a more precise dose. Either option can be great for your pet! Please reach out if you are still feeling uncertain about which product is right for you.

When using our oil, the most common way to administer the CBD is to mix it in with your pet’s food. For faster absorption, you can administer the oil straight along your pet’s gum line or under their tongue. For pickier pets, you can also drop the oil onto a treat your pet already enjoys.

Don’t panic, you cannot overdose on CBD. If your pet does consume a large quantity of CBD, they may experience loose stools or lethargy.

There are very few known interactions with CBD and prescription medications. However, if your pet is on medications, it is always best to consult with a holistic vet prior to starting CBD.

Pet CBD products will never get your pet “high”. There are also no known overdoses on full spectrum hemp oil among animals.

Absolutely! Whether your dog is young or a senior, pets of all ages can benefit from CBD.

Organic ingredients are food materials from animal or plant origin produced according to organic standards. In the U.S., these standards are established and regulated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Organic guarantees that there are no toxic pesticides or chemicals, no synthetic growth hormones or antibiotics, no GMOs, no artificial additives or preservatives, and is grown/raised using organic farming methods. Organic is always natural and non-GMO, but the opposite cannot be said.

The word “organic” refers to the way farmers grow and process agricultural products, and are designed to meet the following goals:

  • Enhance soil and water quality
  • Reduce pollution
  • Promote a self-sustaining cycle of resources on a farm

Materials or practices not permitted in organic farming include:

  • Synthetic fertilizers to add nutrients to the soil
  • Sewage sludge as fertilizer
  • Most synthetic pesticides for pest control
  • Irradiation to preserve food or to eliminate disease or pests
  • Genetic engineering, used to improve disease or pest resistance or to improve crop yields
  • Antibiotics or growth hormones for livestock

Organic crop farming materials or practices may include:

  • Plant waste left on fields (green manure), livestock manure or compost to improve soil quality
  • Plant rotation to preserve soil quality and to interrupt cycles of pests or disease
  • Cover crops that prevent erosion when parcels of land are not in use and to plow into soil for improving soil quality
  • Mulch to control weeds
  • Predatory insects or insect traps to control pests
  • Certain natural pesticides and a few synthetic pesticides approved for organic farming, used rarely and only as a last resort in coordination with a USDA organic certifying agent

GMOs are organisms that have had their characteristics changed through the modification of their DNA. GMO stands for genetically modified organism. Genetically modified (GM) organisms are organisms that have had their genomes changed in a way that does not happen naturally. The most widely grown genetically engineered crop varieties have been engineered to withstand the application of the herbicide glyphosate. Glyphosate is a broad-spectrum herbicide which effectively kills or suppresses all plants, including grasses, perennials, vines, shrubs and trees. With genetically engineered glyphosate-tolerant crops, producers can spray glyphosate directly on the crops, which would otherwise have been damaged or killed by the herbicide.

A product is non-GMO if it was created without any genetic engineering. This also means that any ingredients used to make a product were not derived from GMOs. When food is natural, it supports healthy living and sustainability aside from increasing the overall quality of life. Non–GMO foods are free from chemicals, preservatives or toxins that can potentially be life-threatening for the body over the long term. We exclusively source non-GMO ingredients as close to their native form as possible. We will never add artificial preservatives, flavors, or colors. We produce nutrient-rich supplements, ensuring every single ingredient serves a precise purpose and making a high-quality supplement is at the foundation of our products.

Transparency, consistency, and safety are foundational to who we are. That’s why we third party lab test every batch of CBD to ensure that our products contain the correct amount of CBD, and that the THC content is below the legal limit of 0.3%.
